Dates set for Becket town meeting, elections

The deadline to register to vote at the annual town meeting and annual town election is Friday, April 22. 

BECKET — The annual town meeting will be held at the Becket/Washington Elementary School on Saturday, May 14, at 7 p.m.

The town election will be held at the Becket Town Hall on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m.–7 p.m. to cast ballots for candidates for the following offices and vote on the following ballot question:

  • Member, Board of Selectmen (3-year term)
  • Member, Board of Health (3-year term)
  • Cemetery Commissioner (3-year term)
  • Two (2) Members, Finance Committee (3-year terms)
  • Member, Planning Board (5-year term)

Ballot Question: Shall the town vote to have its elected town clerk position become an appointed town clerk of the town?

The deadline to register to vote at the annual town meeting and annual town election is Friday, April 22. There will be voter registration sessions on this date from 2–4 p.m. and 7–8 p.m. at the Becket Town Hall, 557 Main Street. Voter registration forms are available at the Becket Town Hall, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m..
