DA candidate Knight is dedicated to the justice system

In her letter to the editor, Claudia d’Alessandro writes: “Knight's dedication, as demonstrated by her lifelong commitment to the justice system of Massachusetts, is to justice, law and order, not to a career in politics.”

To the Editor:
As written in its official description, the office of Berkshire County District Attorney states “the chief lawyer and law enforcement officer of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.” There is no candidate in this year’s election better suited or prepared than Judith Knight.

With experience as both a prosecutor and a defense attorney, Knight has insight into the system’s workings from both sides. She has witnessed the impact and effect of the court’s decisions on individuals, families and on the communities which it serves. And, having served under multiple District Attorneys — in Middlesex County and Berkshire County — Knight brings with her knowledge of the effects of a multitude of decisions by the DA’s offices which directly impact the functions of the courts.

The DA must also manage the business of the court system.  And Knight will bring her experience in business management as well.

Finally, Knight’s dedication, as demonstrated by her lifelong commitment to the justice system of Massachusetts, is to justice, law and order, not to a career in politics.

The best “man” for the job is one with the most experience and the greatest commitment and dedication to the office. And there is noone better for the job of Berkshire County District Attorney than Judith Knight.
