Cynthia Marie ‘Pooh Bear’ Keefner, 61, of Canaan, Conn.

The Keefner family invites you to join them in a memorial service honoring Cynthia's life on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Cove Bowling Alley in Great Barrington. Arrangements for Cynthia's services have been entrusted to Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington.

Cynthia Marie Keefner, affectionately known as “Pooh Bear,” age 61, of Canaan, Conn., departed this life on February 24, 2024. Born on September 22, 1962, in Great Barrington, she was the daughter of Viola Patricia Keefner and the late James Keefner Sr.

A woman of great spirit, Cynthia’s generous heart and enduring strength were a beacon to all who knew her. With a passion for the simple pleasures, such as tending to her garden, crafting culinary delights, and cherishing moments with her loved ones, Cynthia’s presence was a gift to her community. Her greatest joy was found in the company of her treasured grandson Kamdin.

Cynthia’s memory will be forever cherished by those she leaves behind: her devoted mother Viola Patricia Keefner; her caring brother James “Mike” Keefner Jr.; her adored grandson Kamdin Torrico; her nieces, Whitney and Kayla Keefner; along with countless friends and extended family members. She joins in eternal peace her beloved daughter Patricia “Tricia” Torrico, her father James Keefner Sr., and her brother Wayne Keefner.

The Keefner family invites you to join them in a memorial service honoring Cynthia’s life on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Cove Bowling Alley in Great Barrington. Arrangements for Cynthia’s services have been entrusted to Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. In remembrance of Cynthia’s benevolent spirit, the family suggests that contributions in her honor be directed to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) of Canaan, Conn., in lieu of floral tributes. A funeral service for Roberta 'Bobbie' Nussbaum will be held Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home, conducted by Rabbi Barbara Cohen. Burial will follow at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Francis Thomas Duke Jr., 82, of Lenox

The funeral for Mr. Francis T. Duke will be held on Friday, May 16, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Church in Lenox, with Rev. Michael Tuck officiating. Burial will be private in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. There will be no calling hours.
