CPA recipient thanks Great Barrington voters

We are grateful that the [CPA] funds will help pay for the new slate roof for the church and parish hall as we move ahead to repair, renovate and transform the big beautiful buildings on the corner of Main Street and St. James Place/ Taconic Avenue.

To the Editor:

I would like to thank the citizens of Great Barrington who voted to approve the Community Preservation Act (CPA) projects at the annual town meeting. This first ever use of CPA funds in our town begins a process that will continue to add to its character. Nine projects were recommended for funding by the Community Preservation Committee. We’re one, and we are grateful that the funds will help pay for the new slate roof for the church and parish hall as we move ahead to repair, renovate and transform the big beautiful buildings on the corner of Main Street and St. James Place/ Taconic Avenue.

We hope you will follow us this summer and fall at saintjamesplace.us and on our Facebook page as we continue our work and open in mid 2016 with a big celebration.

As Mr. Perloe says in his letter to The Edge, the SSA statement was misleading. In my opinion, some sections were flat wrong.
