Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley endorses Leigh Davis for state representative

Berkshire County — Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley has announced that she is endorsing Great Barrington Selectboard member Leigh Davis for state representative in the 3rd Berkshire District. Since 2019, Pressley has represented Massachusetts’s 7th Congressional District, which is comprised of Boston and its neighboring cities and towns. Prior to serving in Congress, she was an at-large Boston city councilor from 2010 to 2019.

“Leigh Davis is deeply rooted in her adopted Berkshires community, where she’s been an advocate for affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and economic opportunity for all,” said Congresswoman Pressley. “On Beacon Hill, she’ll be a bold, progressive voice on the issues that matter to the residents of western Massachusetts, and I’m proud to endorse her to represent the 3rd Berkshire District.”

“Congresswoman Pressley has been an incredible public servant and is an inspiration to me personally,” said Davis. “It is an immense honor to have her support and endorsement. Representing western Massachusetts effectively requires having relationships with community leaders and elected officials across the Commonwealth.
