Cody Cook, 25, of Housatonic

He was an avid skier and Motocross racer, and enjoyed dirt bikes and race cars.

Cody A. Cook, 25, of Housatonic died Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, in West Stockbridge.

He was born April 13, 1993, in Pittsfield, the son of Marie A. (Marchetto) Clark and husband Thomas Clark, and the late David J. Cook. He attended local schools and was a 2011 graduate of the Housatonic Academy in Pittsfield. He worked as a snowmaker at Ski Butternut in Great Barrington. He was an avid skier and Motocross racer, and enjoyed dirt bikes and race cars. When Cody was young, he played pee-wee football for the Chargers and was a Cub Scout in Housatonic.

Besides his mother and stepfather, Cody leaves one brother: Dylan D. Cook of Housatonic; one step-brother: Kyle Clark, of Canaan, Conn.; one sister: Jessica M. Cook of Housatonic and fiancé Timothy Hamilton of Sandisfield; and his step-grandfather Marty ”Poppy” Clark of Sandisfield.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that condolences in Cody’s memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society or to the Great Barrington Brien Center for Addiction, both in care of the funeral home at 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230.
