Christopher Scott Trombley, 50, of Albany, New York, died Tuesday, March 29 at Columbia Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.
He was born in Voorheesville, New York, on October 28, 1971, to the late Robert and Beverly Navin Trombley. He attended Voorheesville High School, where he was a 1989 graduate.
He was a member of the Lee Congregational Church. Christopher was a man of many talents, but most of all he was a man of God, as he shouted God’s praise to anyone and everyone who was around. Due to his passion for Christ, he became so selfless that he would go out of his way to help people, not because he could afford to but because he wanted to help no matter his circumstances and hardships, since that’s the right thing to do. He would always call it a blessing and say, “That’s what Jesus would do.”
Besides his devotion to the Lord, Christopher enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. Whether it was watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, or playing poker, video games, and board games, he just loved being around them. He was an avid lover of music, and even started his own studio where he’d play and record music from his piano, keyboard, guitars and drums. He also enjoyed listening to music from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Journey, Def Leppard and REO Speedwagon, which led to his style of play. As he got older, it was K-Love radio that caught his attention, and he would sing along from dusk until dawn, to the point where he even made some donations out of love and support for the station.
Mr. Trombley is survived by his children, Cody and Chloe Rockenstire, both of New York; his uncles, William “Happy” Navin (Donna) of Pittsfield and Millard Eckert of Lee; his aunt Patricia Navin of Ashland, Massachusetts; and many cousins.
Besides his parents, Christopher was predeceased by his brother, Robert E. Trombley.
The funeral for Mr. Christopher S. Trombley will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 at 11 a.m., at the Lee Congregational Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lee. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please make donations payable to Roche Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses, in care of the funeral home, 120 Main St., Lenox, MA 01240.
