Carolyn L. Troiano, 77, of Housatonic, Massachusetts

Carolyn was a graduate of the former Searles High School, class of 1956. Her family was her life.

Carolyn L. Troiano, 77, of 390 North Plain Rd Housatonic died Thursday November 26, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born in Great Barrington on August 23, 1938, daughter of Harold and Alice (Adams) Love.

Carolyn was a graduate of the former Searles High School, class of 1956. Her family was her life. Carolyn was a communicant of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Corpus Christi Church.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Peter Troiano whom she married on April 6, 1957; five sons: Michael Troiano and his wife Cindi, Andy Troiano and his wife Holly, Peter Troiano and his wife Jackie, David Troiano and his fiancée Anne Doyle and Jamie Troiano and his wife Tracy; two daughters, Suzanne Troiano Forbes and her husband Brad and Theresa Sonsini and her husband Joe; one brother, Lawrence Love of Arizona; two sisters, Allison Giracca of Mt. Washington, Mass., and Doris Brochu of Stockbridge, Mass., twenty-seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Carolyn was predeceased by her grandson Eric Sonsini.

Funeral services for Carolyn Troiano, who died November 26, will be held on Friday December 4, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish Corpus Christi Church with the Reverend William P. Murphy pastor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bridget’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday December 3 from 4-7 p.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME 33 South Street Great Barrington MA 01230. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Carolyn’s memory may be made to Berkshire County Relay for Life in memory of Eric Sonsini in care of the Birches Roy Funeral Home at 33 South St., Great Barrington, MA 01230. Nicholas Navarino, 90, of Waretown, N.J., formerly of Great Barrington

Navarino was a resident of Gt. Barrington for 16 years between 2004 and 2020.
