Carol Brunell, 73, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, died Sunday, March 4, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
She was born Oct. 21, 1944, in Pittsfield, the daughter of Edward and Eleanor Murray Wauszkiewicz. She made her home in Lee and graduated from Lee High School in 1962. She went on to nursing school and graduated as a registered nurse from Albany Medical Center in 1965.
Carol worked as a nurse at Berkshire Medical Center and Framingham Union Hospital. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and cooking. Carol lived in several cities over the years including Pittsfield; Acton; Phoenix, Arizona; London, England; and Rochester Hills, Michigan.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Brunell, whom she married May 21, 1966; two sons: Christopher Brunell and wife Aimee of Groton, and James Brunell and wife Lori of Rochester Hills, Michigan; two sisters: Jean Jaquins of Lee and Karen LaBier of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; and two grandchildren: John and Victoria Brunell of Rochester Hills, Michigan.
