Carol A. Keresztes, 78, of Lenox, formerly of Great Barrington

A dedicated educator, Carol taught in the Detroit Public School System for over 40 years.

Carol A. Keresztes, 78, formerly of Great Barrington passed away on June 2, 2018.  She had been a resident at Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox for the past several years.

Born on December 12, 1939 in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Holden Keresztes.

A dedicated educator, Carol taught in the Detroit Public School System for over 40 years.

She is survived by her sister Kathy Sinico and her husband Joe of Great Barrington; her nephews Matthew and wife Amy of Great Barrington; Sean and wife Simone of Germany and Christopher and wife Huei Hsun Lin. She also leaves her great nieces Anna, Zoe, Josephine and Oona.

She was predeceased by her good friend Ruth Kellogg.

SERVICES: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 14that 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington, conducted by Monseigneur Michael Shershanovich and Rev. William Murphy. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington.

Funeral Mass for Robert F. "Bob" Keefner will be held on Friday, May 23, at 10 a.m., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at Saint Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
