It is with heavy hearts that we, Daren, Rebecca, and Bailey Carlson, share the incredibly sad news of the passing of our cherished son and brother, Caleb Schroeder Carlson. As proud new parents, we welcomed our beautiful blue-eyed boy into the world on November 15, 2000, in Great Barrington. We are heartbroken that his brief but impactful journey on this Earth ended suddenly on Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Caleb Schroeder Carlson.

Caleb attended elementary through high school in the Berkshire Hills Regional School District, graduating from Monument Mountain in 2019. During these years, he established lifelong friendships through his school activities and sports interests, such as basketball, football, and baseball. Caleb’s other passions include playing golf, fishing, bowling, and any activity involving his many cousins and friends. His great sense of humor and ability to infuse joy into any situation are unmatched. Additionally, Caleb’s unique capacity to bring people together and lift up anyone in his presence are traits that he is most known for. His precious soul is inherently adept at making everyone feel special, worthy, honored, included, and important—from his closest relationships to the person he just met.

Caleb is survived by his grandfather Don “Pop” Carlson and wife Cathy “Granny” Buffoni; his grandmother Donna “Grans” Osborne LeFevre and Mike “Papa” Ary; his uncles, LT (Heather) Schroeder, Todd (Meaghan) Carlson, Mark (Barb) Buffoni, Mike (Bonnie) Buffoni, and Matt (Vanessa) Buffoni; his great-aunts, Karrie Schroeder, Sister Jacqueline Schroeder, osf., and Cris Carlson; his great-uncle Edward Osborne; and his cousins, Colby, Tyler, Brody, Mason Beckett Schroeder, John, Ray, Michael, Dylan, Max, Marco, Mason Buffoni, Mateo, and Meaghan.

Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Larry and Julie Schroeder; three uncles, Doug
Carlson and Ric and John Schroeder; and his aunts, Mary Schroeder Shariff, Ann Schroeder Crichton, and Laurie Buffoni.
