To the editor:
A recent flyer sent by the state Democratic party to local voters on Andrea Harrington’s behalf suggests a connection between her opponent and Donald Trump. This is nonsense; Paul Caccaviello is every bit the Democrat that Harrington is, and he wouldn’t vote for that clown in Washington in a million years.
As a proud liberal, I will write in Caccaviello for Berkshire County district attorney on the basis of his far greater suitability for the job at hand. That’s the issue here, not the fact that Caccaviello is endorsed by the state Republican Party (or, for that matter, the fact that Harrington is endorsed by Elizabeth Warren). But, sadly, it’s image, not issues, that drive political campaigns these days.
