Business Briefs: Protection against hacking; veteran parking at Carr Hardware; 3-D fee dropped at Beacon Cinema

Smaller businesses, as well as local governments and boards, are being actively targeted for hacking.

Advice from Salisbury Bank on protection against hacking

Salisbury, Conn. — After seeing headlines in the past year about mega-businesses being hacked, small- to medium-sized businesses may feel as if they’re too small for cyber criminals to bother with. Smaller businesses, as well as local governments and boards, are being actively targeted for hacking because they have cash and other valuable assets, electronic transfer capabilities, and lack basic computer security controls.

Salisbury Bank is committed to helping businesses learn about and protect against corporate account takeover. An online article is available to help those interested learn more.
