Carr Hardware re-opening celebration
Great Barrington — Carr Hardware will re-open its Great Barrington location on Saturday, May 14. The event will begin with a ribbon cutting on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Carr Hardware owners Bart and Marshall Raser and Great Barrington Select Board Chair Sean Stanton. Carr will also be promoting a $4 bucket sale, all proceeds from which will go to the Great Barrington Land Conservancy. A representative from Stihl power equipment will be on hand to give a demonstration of the line.
Beginning in November 2015, Carr Hardware began the process of reorganizing and remodeling its Great Barrington store. The process was seen as a way to continue the beautification process of downtown Great Barrington and offer customers a new experience. In addition to adding the Stihl line, Carr has expanded many areas of the store to offer customers more variety and a larger inventory including a bigger tool department with a wider selection of brands, a broader front showroom and lawn and garden section, and an enlargement of the vanity and plumbing department.
