Community ReStart housing vacancies

Pittsfield — Community ReStart has opened its second program house, dedicated to Pittsfield’s underserved male population (Barbara’s Place for women was the first). Community ReStart’s approach to affordable housing includes personal growth, community development, healthy food, and accessible employment and helps reduce homelessness, relapses, and city blight.

Services provided for program participants include a social service coach, weekly house meetings facilitated by a qualified service provider, check-in and follow up on personal goals, and weekly personal growth workshops. The Food Net and WorkForce programs provide additional support through nutrition, employment, and community service.

The new residence features single-room occupancy in peer-based, community housing that is drug-, alcohol-, and smoke-free. Private rooms with shared common areas are available for $400 per month. Prospective tenants and those looking for more information on the affordable housing program should contact Community ReStart at (413)442-3172.
