Chamber of Commerce launches online auction
Great Barrington — The Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce has launched its annual online auction to raise funds for community events and promote local business in the Southern Berkshires.
More than 200 businesses have donated items and one-of-a-kind experiences from restaurant gift certificates to cooking classes, home items, camp vacations, art prints, tickets to cultural and professional sporting events, antiques, and more.
The auction will be open until 9 p.m. on Monday, June 27.

New role for MSHG’s Butterworth

Stockbridge — Main Street Hospitality Group (MSHG) CEO Sarah Eustis has announce the creation of new strategic management role to help guide growth and engagement in the communities in which it operates. Brian Butterworth, who has led the sales efforts for the company for nearly 14 years, will step into the newly created role of Senior Director of Business Development, Community and Industry Affairs effective immediately.
During his tenure with MSHG, Butterworth has developed a broad network in the tourism and hospitality industries at the local, state, national, and international levels as well as with government and nonprofit organizations. In his new role, he will continue to lead MSHG’s alliances with industry organizations and will also develop and lead MSHG’s charitable giving strategy, developing annual plans and partnerships.
Butterworth joined MSHG in 2003. His prior experience includes a role as an innkeeper for Baron Management. In addition to numerous memberships and board positions with leading industry associations, he was a recipient of the Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism’s Larry D. Meehan Award for excellence in leadership. A graduate of SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and Syracuse University, he lives in West Stockbridge with his wife.

Herrington’s adds tile to product offerings
Hillsdale, N.Y. — Ed Herrington, Inc. (d/b/a Herrington’s) regional building supply company has announced that it has purchased the assets of Countrytown Marble & Tile and will operate business at the Countrytown Marble & Tile location at 5 East Hill Ln. off Rte. 23.
Judy Gardner, the former owner of Countrytown Marble & Tile, served the area since 1990 and offered a variety of ceramic, porcelain, glass, and marble tiles from around the globe. Gardner will be sharing her vast knowledge of tile by working with Herrington’s as a business consultant to the company during the transition.
