1Berkshire adds additional Business Boost webinar sessions
PITTSFIELD — Following the successful launch of its initial slate of webinars, 1Berkshire has announced three more sessions in its Business Boost Series. The series aims to provide a broad range of topical guidance and support to businesses to help them recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and grow beyond it.
Previous sessions, which soon will be available for viewing on the 1Berkshire website, include Navigating Bias in Your Business, Customer Communication Strategies, Digital Marketing and Your Business, and Opportunities for Women-owned Businesses. Upcoming workshops include:

Bryan E. House appointed to Greylock Supervisory Committee

PITTSFIELD — Greylock Federal Credit Union recently announced that the Credit Union’s Board of Directors has appointed Bryan E. House to Greylock’s volunteer Supervisory Committee.
House is the director of community outreach and engagement with the Berkshire County District Attorney’s office. Previously, he served as a deputy director with the Berkshire Community Action Council. He is heavily involved in the community and currently serves on the BRIDGE Race Task Force, the City of Pittsfield’s Personnel Review Board, MassHire Berkshire Workforce Board, and the Boards of Directors for UCP of Berkshire County and Pittsfield Community Television.
House is taking the place of Angelo Borsello, who recently left the Supervisory Committee, and joins chairwomen Allison Bedard and Lori Broderick-Bean. The Supervisory Committee functions as the representative auditor for the membership and oversees compliance, policies, rules, regulations, and the performance of officials and employees.

Greylock Insurance’s Alcaro earns national designation
PITTSFIELD — Greylock Insurance Agency recently announced that Andrew Alcaro, a commercial lines producer, has earned his designation as a Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) from the American Insurance Marketing and Sales Society.
This designation stands for professionalism and a commitment to excellence through technical knowledge. Alcaro joined Greylock in March 2018.

Berkshire Money Management welcomes Holly Simeone and Jared Reinstein

DALTON — Berkshire Money Management (BMM) recently welcomed Holly Simeone and Jared Reinstein to its growing family. Simeone is a client care specialist and will be at the helm of the BMM satellite office at 322 Main Street in Great Barrington, which is slated to open this summer.
“Our clients wanted us to be closer to South County,” said founder and CEO Allen Harris. “To do that, we needed an all-star. We needed someone like Holly who can do it all.”
Prior to joining BMM, Simeone, who has more than a decade of customer experience, was a dual employee for Lee Bank and October Mountain Financial Advisors, where she attended to client services, managing trust and estates, and private banking for wealth management clients. She has her Certified Estate and Trust Specialist designation from the Institute of Business and Finance, a bachelors in business administration from Fitchburg State University, and a masters in finance from the New England Institute of Business at Cambridge College.

Reinstein joined the advisor team at Berkshire Money Management. “I hadn’t planned on hiring a new advisor until 2025, but if you get a chance to hire someone of Jared’s caliber you do that and you make sure he’s part of your team,” said Allen.
Reinstein comes to BMM with more than a decade of experience as a financial planner. He has worked for firms in the Capital Region, including the Ayco Company (a division of Goldman Sachs), SEFCU Wealth Management, and Citizens Investment Services, where he established and led a financial planning mindset for the region to showcase a financial planning process for clients. He is a Certified Financial Planner™ and a fiduciary, and is a graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh, where he earned his bachelors in communications.

Berkshire Bank names Sorrentino VP, relationship manager, MyBanker for Berkshire County

BOSTON — Berkshire Bank recently announced the promotion of Rebecca Sorrentino to Vice President, Relationship Manager, MyBanker for Berkshire County. Sorrentino has over 35 years of banking experience managing multiple offices, developing deep relationships with customers, and building sustainable teams focusing on the customer service experience.
In her new role, Sorrentino will be responsible for building a network of Berkshire County community partners in collaboration with the bank’s business lines to further enhance the client experience and customer expectations. Sorrentino’s extensive experience and deep knowledge of the market positions her well to continue Berkshire’s mission of being the leading socially responsible community bank.
Sorrentino will also work as a Berkshire County MyBanker, which is a 24/7 free financial concierge service to help customers navigate their next big financial life stage, such as starting or expanding a business, getting married, growing their family, or planning for retirement.
Prior to this position, Sorrentino served as the assistant vice president, dual branch officer for the Lenox Main and the West Stockbridge offices of Berkshire Bank for over 20 years. She is currently serving as a board member of the West Stockbridge Historical Society and serves on the Fairview Hospital Golf Tournament Committee. In the past, she was president of the Lenox Library and Tri-Town Rotary. She received her bachelor’s degree in the Science of Psychology from the State University of New York at Potsdam.
