Business Briefs: Berkshire Family Medicine joins BFS; Adams Community Bank donates to Ventfort Hall

Great Barrington — Dr. Susan Thompson has announced that her primary care practice, Barrington Family Medicine at 63 State Rd., has joined Berkshire Faculty Services (BFS), the physician practice management service of Berkshire Health Systems, effective Monday, January 4.

According to a letter to patients from Dr. Thompson, “Becoming a part of BFS will allow me to continue to provide you with the best care available, adding management and technology resources as well as increased medical coverage for my patients.”

In addition to the affiliation with BFS, Barrington Family Medicine will welcome a new physician to the practice. John Paul Hickey, MD, will join Dr. Thompson, offering primary care services with experience in infectious disease and addiction medicine. Dr. Hickey, who recently relocated from New York City to the Berkshires, also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health Administration and Policy, and has received credentials and is a member of the Fairview Hospital medical staff.

Adams Community Bank makes donation to Ventfort Hall

Lenox – Less than a month after Adams Community Bank opened its Lenox branch location, it has made a donation to the matching grant fund of Ventfort Hall Mansion and Gilded Age Museum. The $5,000 gift will enable Ventfort Hall to receive additional matching funds that will continue the ongoing restoration of the mansion.

President and CEO of Adams Community Bank Charles O’Brien stated, “We are thrilled to show our support for such an important part of the history of Lenox and to assist with the ongoing restoration of this beautiful mansion and gilded age museum. Our gift is a natural extension of how we support and promote the communities we serve in Berkshire County.”
