Bridge and guardrail repair next week on I-90

Accordingn to a press released issued by MassDOT, bridge and guard rail repairs will be taking place on I-90 in both the eastbound and westbound directions from Monday, August 22 through Friday, August 26.

Becket/Lee/Stockbridge — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation has announced that they will be conducting bridge and guardrail repairs on I-90, both eastbound and westbound, from Monday, August 22 until Friday, August 26.

Work is scheduled to end on August 26 at 4 p.m.

According to a press release issued by MassDOT, work on the project will include daytime bridge repairs taking place at mile marker 4.5 in Stockbridge and overnight guardrail repair work from mile marker 8 to 12 in Lee and Becket, with utility work requiring a temporary rolling roadblock at mile marker 9.7 in Lee.

The work will be conducted on the following schedule:

In Stockbridge, the bridge repair work will be conducted daily on I-90 eastbound and westbound from Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

In Lee and Becket, the guardrail work will be conducted nightly on I-90 eastbound and westbound from Monday, August 22, through Friday, August 26, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning. The overnight hour work is expected to conclude by 5:00 a.m. on Friday, August 26.

In Lee, utility work will require a rolling roadblock on I-90 eastbound and westbound on Thursday, August 25, at 7:00 p.m.

While travel will be allowed through work zones, work will require temporary lane closures to allow crews to safely and efficiently conduct the guardrail and bridge repair operations.
