Brian Schaffer, 61, of Lee

Brian was on the Lee Youth Association board of directors and enjoyed all local youth sports including Lee Pewee Football, LYA Basketball, Lee Little League and the Dalton Judo Club.

Brian E. Schaffer, 61, of Bradley Street in Lee died Saturday evening at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

Brian was born Aug. 4, 1956, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, the son of Robert and Janice Devenger Schaffer. He moved to Lee as a young child and graduated from Lee High School in 1976. He worked at Impoco’s Video Store, Barnes and Noble and, most recently, for Dufour Tours, driving for the Lee school system. Brian was on the Lee Youth Association board of directors and enjoyed all local youth sports including Lee Pewee Football, LYA Basketball, Lee Little League and the Dalton Judo Club. He was involved with the “Romance Soul and Rock n Roll” show in Pittsfield and volunteered at PCTV in Pittsfield. Brian enjoyed music, especially the Beatles.

Brian is survived by his brother, Norman Schaffer and wife Teresa of Homosassa, Florida.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 20, at 11 a.m. at Fairmount Cemetery in Lee. Donations in his memory may be made to the Lee Youth Association in c/o the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238. A small, intimate gathering for close family and friends will be held at Birches-Roy Funeral Home on Monday March 9, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A private burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Agnes Kathryn Peron, 85, of Lee

Family will receive friends at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Great Barrington. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Dr. Stephen Kaufman, 81, of Eliot, Maine

The funeral will take place at Dewey Hall in Sheffield on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11 a.m., followed immediately by internment at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery in Great Barrington. A livestream of the funeral service will be available.
