Brian James Tranter Sr., 77, of Southfield

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Berkshire Humane Society in Brian’s memory.

Brian James Tranter Sr., age 77, of Southfield, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 7, 2025. Born in Poole, England, on October 17, 1947, he was the son of the late Agustus James and Audrey Hunter Tranter. He served in the British Special Forces and traveled the world before moving to the U.S. in the 1970s.

Brian is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jennifer M.T. Tranter; his two sons, Brian J. Tranter Jr. and Hunter W. Tranter (Sarah); and his sister Linda West (Nicolas) of Poole, England. He also is survived by his beloved dog, Kendra, and cat, Calli.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Berkshire Humane Society in Brian’s memory.
