Bonnie M. Bailey, 89, of Stockbridge  

Mrs. Bailey owned her catering company “Bonnie’s” which she operated until her retirement. Previously, she had worked for General Electric in Pittsfield, in their Receiving Department.

Bonnie M. Bailey, 89, a longtime resident of Interlaken Crossroad in Stockbridge passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass.

Born on February 18, 1926 in Hutchinson, Kansas, she was the daughter of Roy E. and Nellie Nelson McCoy. She was a graduate of North High School in Wichita, Kansas.

Bonnie married her husband, the late Edward W. Bailey, on September 6, 1947 at the United Methodist Church in Pittsfield and together the couple made their home in Interlaken in 1949.

Mrs. Bailey owned her catering company “Bonnie’s” which she operated until her retirement. Previously, she had worked for General Electric in Pittsfield, in their Receiving Department and at Boeing Aircraft in the blueprint department in Wichita, KS.: Jennifer Oldakowski, Anna Mary Grace Bailey and Hannah and Jay Pickett her great grandson, Ashton Oldakowski. She also leaves her sister Betty Kane of Wichita, KS.

Bonnie is survived by children Dr. Pamela Bailey of Vicksburg, Miss.; Kevin R. Bailey of Gilbert, Ariz., and Paula Bailey Pickett of Interlaken, Mass., as well as four grandchildren — Jennifer Oldakowski, Anna Mary Grace Bailey and Hannah and Jay Pickett — and her great grandson, Ashton Oldakowski. She also leaves her sister Betty Kane of Wichita, Kansas.

She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Edward, who died on December 13, 2008.

In accordance with her wishes services will be private.

John H. Pirzl, 67, of Dalton

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10 a.m., at St. Ann Church with Monsignor John Bonzagni officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Pittsfield.
