Berkshire Art Association presents ‘Unfinished…,’ a non-juried exhibition
Pittsfield— From November 8th through the 22nd, Berkshire Art Association presents ‘Unfinished…,’ a non-juried exhibition.
In the words of Committee Chairperson, Ilene Spiewak:
“There’s something so intimate and compelling about unresolved, open-ended work.
Work that is finished yet incomplete.
Critical to artistic practice, one could ask when a painting is truly finished.
Unfinished blurs the line between making and unmaking.
Unfinished work allows you to see beyond the surface of the work and into the creative process and psychological state of the maker.
Unfinished holds a unique kind of beauty, free from error.
Embrace the unresolved.
Embrace absence.
Embrace unfinishedness.”

The exhibit is on view from November 8th through the 22nd at the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts, located at 28 Renne Avenue in Pittsfield. There is an opening reception on Saturday, November 8th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and an artists talk on Saturday, November 22nd from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. More information can be found online.
