
MountainOne Thankful 5K
Pittsfield— The MountainOne Thankful 5K will take place on Thursday, November 24th at 8:30 a.m. All are invited to come walk, run, or volunteer. The course will start and finish at 34 Depot St in Downtown Pittsfield.
Bib number and Beanie pick up will be at BRC in Allendale Shopping Center 5 Cheshire Road, on Wednesday the 23rd from 10-6.
Registered runners are asked to bring a non-perishable food item(s) to the start of the race. Berkshire Running Center and several Downtown merchants will also be collecting food anytime in the month of November.
Another way to support the food pantries is to buy a “Thankful” hat. Every penny raised will go directly to the food pantries.
Registration for the race is $25. The race is free for students 18 and under.

Pumpkin Decorating at the Stockbridge Library
Stockbridge— The Stockbridge Library, Museum & Archives is holding a pumpkin decorating event on Friday, November 25 at 3 p.m.
The library invites the public to decorate a small pumpkin with tissue paper to take home. This event is centered toward children of all ages.

The Berkshire Bach Society Messiah Community Sing
Great Barrington— The Berkshire Bach Society announces a free community Messiah Sing! on Saturday, November 26 at 4 p.m. This event will take place at the First Congregational Church in Great Barrington.
Choral conductor James Bagwell invites any and all singers who are thrilled by Baroque choral music to raise their voices in popular choruses from Handel’s oratorio Messiah, including Hallelujah!, accompanied by The Berkshire Bach Players. Bring your own score, buy, or borrow one and start the holiday season with a joyous event that is a Great Barrington tradition.
This is the first time this event has been held in three years, since before the beginning of the pandemic.
Non-singers are encouraged to hear the performance and cheer on the singers.
Proof of vaccination and masking while in the venue is required.

“Little Reds” Play Reading at BCT
Bennington— Bennington Community Theater’s Monthly Play Reading Series presents “Little Reds” on November 29 at 7 p.m. Little Reds was written by Kerry Kazmierowicztrimm, and directed by HK Goldstein.
In “Little Reds,” Daff struggles to juggle her responsibilities to her sick mother, her younger brother, and the drug dealer that may be in love with her – all while making plans to escape her small town.
This event will take place at the Bennington Performing Arts Center in downtown Bennington. This is a free event with donations accepted at the door. Masks are strongly recommended. This play includes adult language and content.

Basilica Farm & Flea Holiday Market
Hudson— Basilica Farm & Flea Holiday Market returns for its 10th Anniversary Thanksgiving Weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27.
With an emphasis on local artisans representing the finest independent businesses in the
region, this year’s participants demonstrate the vast bounty upstate New York has to offer
across a wide array of categories including handmade and vintage clothing, homegoods, art,
furniture, food, and more. Onsite activities, food, drink, and kid-friendly fun make this a
must-attend event for the whole family.
With the Hudson Valley’s most spectacular season well under way, Basilica Farm and Flea is
the perfect way to jump into the holiday season to find an extraordinary array of local, vintage
and handmade gifts, representing the abundance and splendor of the Hudson Valley.
$5 day and $8 weekend passes are available online and cash will be accepted at the door. Kids under 12 enter for free. This event takes place at Basilica Hudson, 110 S. Front St, Hudson.

Pamela Berkeley “From the Hollow”
Sheffield— Blue Mountain Gallery presents local artist Pamela Berkeley’s newest solo show “From the Hollow,” November 29 – December 24. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, December 3 from 3 to 5 p.m.
The twenty-five paintings and drawings include recent work as well as a selection of the artist’s work spanning five decades. Berkeley’s works are created in oil and pastel on canvas or linen, and range in size from eight by eight inches to six by eight feet. Besides landscapes and interiors of Maine, Michigan, New York and New England, she painted a series of actor and artist friends, arranged in odd environments.
Pamela Berkeley moved to Sheffield in the early 2000s and has been an active member of the community ever since.
