McQueen does The Garage at the Colonial Theatre
Pittsfield — One-man show extraordinaire McQueen will perform at The Garage at 111 South Street on Saturday, June 6 at 8 p.m. he comedian, producer, and Pittsfield native — née McQueen Adams — was hailed by Thom Yorke of Radiohead as “just brilliant!” Dave Chappelle raves “This show is mad funny! Dude’s doing something crazy original, it’s going to be huge man!”
McQueen performed a two-week sold out run in London, and now, for the first time ever, he is touring his unique world of live music, comedy and projections through the United States.
While touring with Radiohead, McQueen impressed the band with an impersonation so fresh that an idea was born. A fusion of music, comedy and video, which parodies pop stars, movies and a variety of celebrities, McQueen creates an incredibly unique new universe with every show. Co-created with Julian Gross from LIARS, McQueen presents a mixture of music, projections and sketches with subjects as varied as the sounds of Daft Punk to the magic of the wizard Gandalf, with some Jason Statham, Vladimir Putin, Matthew McConaughey and Coldplay along the way.
The Huffington Post said that McQueen’s performance is “An original show that showcases immense talent and wow factor!”McQueen is “like watching Jimmy Fallon and Reggie Watt’s love child bringing down the house!” according to Buzzfeed. CNN said, “nothing I have ever seen compares to the originality and hilarity that went down last night!”
