Tivoli, N.Y.— On December 12th and 13th at 8 p.m., Kaatsbaan Cultural Park presents GRAMMY-nominated rock percussionist Everett Bradley’s “HOLIDELIC,” an electrifying holiday funk extravaganza.
In “HOLIDELIC,” Bradley assumes the role of Papadelic, funk’s Father Christmas and larger-than-life fusion of George Clinton and Santa Claus. With holiday-themed funk songs, 70s- and 80s-inspired originals, and reimagined classics that celebrate diversity and love as one nation under a groove, “HOLIDELIC” transports audiences to a world where funk and Christmas joy collide. Since its inception in 2002, “HOLIDELIC” has been a roaring success with Bradley’s charismatic stage presence and dynamic performances captivating audiences night after night.

West Stockbridge— On Friday, December 12th at 7:30 p.m., The Foundry presents ‘Pretty Lady Christmas’ with iconic, legendary, and delusional drag queen Jackie Beat.
At this time of year, it’s important to be generous, kind, and altruistic. But it’s even more important to be pretty. In ‘Pretty Lady Christmas,’ an annual holiday show featuring all live singing and comedy, Jackie Beat’s stockings will be stuffed with lots of naughty new numbers and a sprinkling of crass classics.

For thirty-five years, Jackie Beat has been entertaining audiences across the U.S. and in Europe with her razor-sharp comedy and hysterical song parodies. Her hilarious music videos on YouTube are huge hits that have been seen by millions of people. Her one-woman show “Jackie Beat Is A Whole Lotta’ Love” ran a record 18 months at NYC’s premiere cabaret Fez, and she returns every year with her award-winning, standing-room-only holiday show as part of her annually sold out national holiday tour. Jackie’s stand-up has been featured in comedy clubs across the country and on Comedy Central, VH-1 and MTV. Her scathing song parodies have been featured on “America’s Top Forty” with Ryan Seacrest, “The Howard Stern Show,” and more. She has appeared on many TV shows such as “Sex and the City” and in several movies including “Flawless” with Robert DeNiro, the festival hit “Wigstock The Movie,” and more. Lenox— From December 12th through the 14th, Shakespeare & Company presents a lively, costumed reading “Sense & Sensibility” by Kate Hamill, based on the novel by Jane Austen.
Directed by Ariel Bock, “Sense and Sensibility” follows the fortunes, and misfortunes, of the Dashwood sisters — sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne — after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable. Set in late 18th-century England, “Sense and Sensibility” examines our reactions, both reasonable and ridiculous, to societal pressures. When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?

The performances are from December 12th through the 14th at Shakespeare & Company, located at 70 Kemble Street in Lenox. There will be a literary talk and tea with finger sandwiches, pastries, and biscuits on Sunday, December 14th in celebration of Jane Austen’s 250th birthday. Regency-era costumes will be on display. Great Barrington— On Friday, December 12th at 8 p.m., Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center presents Indigo Comedy Night with stand-up comic Ariel Elias.
Ariel Elias is a comedian living in New York City. Growing up, this Kentucky Jew made everyone laugh at her bat mitzvah. and the rest is history. Today, her comedy is a fun mesh of unique, personal stories mixed with witty and wry observations.

Elias has been featured in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, on Good Morning America, and she was named in Paste Magazine’s Best Comedians of 2022. After catching Jimmy Kimmel’s attention with a viral stand-up clip that displayed her cool, calm, and hilarious composure, he invited Ariel to make her late-night television debut on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” which she followed up with an appearance on “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert.

Holiday Small Works Show at Art on Main
West Stockbridge— From December 4th through the 28th, the Guild of Berkshire Artists presents their annual Holiday Small Works Show at Art on Main Gallery.

From ceramics to fiber arts, the gallery will be filled with original works of art by member artists Anne Ferril, Caryn King, Sue Aiken, Lori Bradley, Deborah Schneer, Christine Koldys, and Carolyn Abrams. These small, unique works of art in painting, ceramics, photography and fibers are great for gift giving and sharing.
The exhibit on view from December 4th through the 28th at Art on Main Gallery, located at 38 Main Street in West Stockbridge.
