Stockbridge— From June 7th through October 26th, Norman Rockwell Museum presents “I SPY! Walter Wick’s Hidden Wonders,” the whimsical world of Walter Wick.

Explore the captivating world of Walter Wick, the acclaimed photographer and creator of the “I SPY” books, in this special exhibition. With a career spanning over 50 years, Wick’s work combines artistry, technical innovation, and mind-bending puzzles. The exhibition will showcase his iconic photographic illustrations, including miniature worlds, optical illusions, and more.
The whimsical world of Walter Wick has fascinated people of all ages since 1991, when his first children’s book series “I SPY” found its way onto the bookshelves of millions of American households. The success of Wick’s books has established him as one of the most celebrated photographic illustrators of all time.
The exhibit will be on view from June 7th through October 26th at Norman Rockwell Museum, located at 9 Glendale Road in Stockbridge. Stockbridge— From June 6th through August 11th, Berkshire Botanical Garden presents ‘DayDream,’ an exhibit featuring Salvador Dalí, Annie Leibovitz, Yoko Ono, Jamie Wyeth, and more.

‘DayDream,’ a new exhibition featuring works by some of the most renowned names in contemporary and modern art, invites visitors to escape the everyday and immerse themselves in the boundless possibilities of the imagination. The exhibition’s lineup includes legendary figures such as Salvador Dalí, Annie Leibovitz, Yoko Ono, and Jamie Wyeth, alongside a diverse array of contemporary artists like Roz Chast, Will Cotton, and Ellsworth Kelly. Spanning painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, ‘DayDream’ promises to be a stunning and thought-provoking journey into the artistic subconscious.

Great Barrington— From June 7th to July 7th, Bernay Fine Art presents “Shifting View,” a unique exhibition featuring four nationally recognized contemporary artists.

In “Shifting View” Chenta Laury, Noah Post, Simona Prives, and Karin Schaefer explore how meaning evolves based on what we notice, how we look, and what we bring to the experience. Across painting, printmaking, fiber, and collage, the artists investigate the layered boundaries between nature and structure, revealing transformation through process and subtle detail.

WAM presents a reading of Deborah Zoe Laufer’s ‘Rooted’ at Ventfort Hall
Lenox— On Sunday, June 8th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., WAM, as part of their Fresh Takes Play Reading Series, presents a reading of Deborah Zoe Laufer’s “Rooted” at Ventfort Hall.
Directed by Tatyana-Marie Carlo, “Rooted” is a magical and quirky comedy that centers the relationships of nature, art, and human connection. Asking us all how we might heal, the cast includes Jennie Jadow, Jayne Atkinson, and Hero Marguerite.

Emery (Jayne Atkinson) and her sister Hazel (Jennie M. Jadow), have never left their tiny, rural town for all their 60-some years. This is “A-ok” with Emery who happily spends her days among her plants, but when she becomes an overnight viral internet sensation, large crowds start congregating beneath her home, and calling Emery their savior. Hazel sees this as their opportunity to finally escape the run-down town. When a young protester (Hero Marguerite) is hurt and hauled into their treehouse, all bets are off.
The performances are on Sunday, June 8th at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Ventfort Hall, located at 104 Walker Street in Lenox. A talk-back will follow each performance. Tickets and more information can be found online.

The Mahaiwe’s ‘100 Years of Movies’ series returns with film director and educator Deborah Reinisch
Great Barrington— On Friday, June 6th at 7 p.m., following last year’s success, The Mahaiwe’s “100 Years of Movies” series returns with film director and educator Deborah Reinisch.
Deborah Reinisch will introduce each film with a brief lecture at the top of the screening. Reinisch has produced and directed award-winning movies and series for network, cable and public television. Her recent directing credits include “Bull,” “Madam Secretary,” and “NCIS: New Orleans “for CBS. She worked as first assistant director on many feature films, including “Blood Simple” and “Raising Arizona” for Joel and Ethan Coen. She taught directing, production, and film history at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Brooklyn College/Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema, and Columbia University.

On Friday, June 6th at 7 p.m., the series will open with George Cukor’s classic comedy “The Philadelphia Story” (1940.) Starring Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, and James Stewart in a romantic romp about marriage and high society, the film marked Hepburn’s box office breakthrough and earned two Oscars – Best Actor (Stewart) and Best Adapted Screenplay. Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. presents ‘Rhythmscape,’ a free, outdoor summer dance series
Pittsfield— Beginning on Sunday, June 1st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. presents “Rhythmscape,” a free, outdoor summer dance series on select Sundays in June, July, and August at Dunham Mall, located at 100 North Street in Pittsfield.
The vision of Rhythmscape is to create a vibrant, welcoming Pittsfield where the streets come alive with music and movement — a city where residents of all ages, races, cultures, and abilities feel seen, celebrated, and connected through dance in public spaces. Each session will highlight a different rhythm and instructor from our local community, reflecting the many identities that make Pittsfield home. Rhythmscape is free and open to all and encourages everyone to experience the joy of movement and the beauty of cultural exchange. No experience is necessary to participate.

On Sunday, June 1st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., the series begins with BSKE Dance Community. Prashad Abeysinghe with DJ Daniela Sthisel offering beginner and intermediate level Bachata and Salsa lessons with social dancing. The series continues on June 8 with Tara Borgilt and Bruno Trindade teaching Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art and game that includes elements of dance, acrobatics, music, and spirituality.
