Westside Table announces first ever Community Table Dinner
Pittsfield— On Sunday, November 23rd from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Westside Table announces its first ever Community Table Dinner.
This dinner is the first of what is hoped to become many, honoring the power of shared meals as a form of community care. “People say Pittsfield has changed, that we don’t look out for each other,” said Westside Table founder, Erica Shrader. “But the West Side never stopped showing up for its people — folks just stopped noticing. We aren’t reinventing the community. We’re putting a spotlight back on the community that’s already been doing the work.”

For decades, this neighborhood has been held together by quiet anchors… aunties, neighbors, elders, coaches, parents — the ones who showed up without cameras, without applause, and without a budget. Westside Table isn’t trying to take credit for the community. We’re simply shining a light on the people who’ve been holding it down long before now, and reminding everyone that the West Side has always taken care of its own.
Attendees will enjoy a comforting meal served with dignity. More importantly, they’ll be welcomed to sit together, reconnect, and remember that this neighborhood has always been strongest at the table. The free dinner is on Sunday, November 23rd from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Christian Center, located at 193 Robbins Avenue in Pittsfield. Delivery will be available for elders and those unable to travel.
