The Foundry presents ‘A Very Very Cassie and Maggie Christmas’
West Stockbridge— On Thursday, December 11th at 7:30 p.m., The Foundry presents “A Very Very Cassie and Maggie Christmas.”
Internationally acclaimed, award winning musical sister duo Cassie and Maggie are no strangers to holiday magic. Part of a multi generational musical dynasty, Christmas was always a time to gather near and sing boisterously, as in days of old. The doors were always open to company and the New Year just around the corner.
Named Live Ireland Radio’s “Vocalists of the Year” and “New group of the Year”, Chicago Irish-American Newspaper’s “Emerging Artists of the Year,” the Nova Scotian sisters have appeared on stages across North America, the UK, and Europe, enchanting audiences far and wide with lively fiddle, piano and guitar arrangements, stunning sibling vocal harmonies in both English and Gaelic, all complemented by their intricate and percussive step-dancing style.

Berkshire Botanical Garden presents annual Holiday Marketplace and Gallery of Wreaths
Stockbridge— On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, December 5th, 6th, and 7th, Berkshire Botanical Garden presents its annual Holiday Marketplace and Gallery of Wreaths.
The festivities begin with Friday evening ’s Preview Party featuring early wreath-buying opportunities, live music, hors d’oeuvres, a raw bar, and festive libations.

The Marketplace runs Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring artisan vendors, one-of-a-kind designer wreaths, an assortment of holiday-blooming amaryllis and paperwhites in decorative and clay containers, succulent arrangements, garlands, hanging terrariums, and other gift items. The weekend festivities will include live music, s’mores around a campfire, and hot drinks from the Best Damn Espresso coffee truck.

38th Annual Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas
Stockbridge— On Saturday and Sunday, December 6th and 7th, Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce presents the 38th Annual Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas, paying homage to “Stockbridge Main Street at Christmas,” Norman Rockwell’s idyllic depiction of village life during the holidays.

Highlights of the event include the much-anticipated historic property tours, concerts, ‘Winterlights,’ Norman Rockwell Museum’s pop-up shop and walking tours, and the heartwarming reenactment that beautifully embodies the spirit of Norman Rockwell’s iconic holiday scene, “Home for Christmas” complete with vintage automobiles, Victorian Carolers, horse-drawn rides, and a magical visit from Santa. Celebrate the warmth and community spirit that makes Stockbridge a quintessential holiday experience, where every moment spent here is sure to inspire and delight!

Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. presents annual Downtown Pittsfield Festive Frolic
Pittsfield— On Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th, Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. presents its annual the Downtown Pittsfield Festive Frolic.
The festival features the City of Pittsfield’s Park Square Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Pittsfield High School Chorus. Those planning to attend the ceremony are asked to bring non-perishable food items that will be donated to the Christian Center’s food pantry. The Park Square event will also feature free hot chocolate and coffee from Lipton Market and holiday-themed ice sculptures and live ice-sculpting by artists Peter Vacchina and Robert Markey.

The event also features photo opportunities with Santa and The Grinch, a silent wreath auction, a bazaar, free live music, free carousel rides, a holiday-themed Drag Story Hour, and the Albany Berkshire Ballet’s production of “The Nutcracker.” There will be a free kids’ Paint & Sip at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church along with a free yarn snowflake ornament craft by the Berkshire Museum. SOLARIUM invites children to drop-in to make free dried floral ornaments.
Berkshire Community Action Council will be giving away free cookies to all and invites you to help support the Elf Children’s Warm Clothing Program by bringing a new winter coat or pair of boots to Dunham Mall for a child in need. If you do, you’ll earn an entry into a raffle to win a luxurious one-night stay at Hotel on North. The raffle drawing will be at 3 p.m., and you do not need to be present to win.

The weekend not only highlights the incredible creativity of BAC’s faculty, but also supports the future of Berkshire Art Center. A portion of every purchase helps fund exhibitions, educational programs, and opportunities for artists of all ages.
