Pittsfield— On Thursday, August 29th at 7:30 p.m., Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG) and Barrington Stage Company (BSC) present “An Evening with Darlene Love & Natasha Bedingfield” at The Colonial Theatre.
Darlene Love will have everyone dancing in their seats with her iconic hits like “He’s a Rebel,” “The Boy I’m Gonna Marry” and the timeless holiday classic “Christmas Baby Please Come Home.” Known for her captivating stage presence and powerful voice, Darlene Love is a true rock ‘n’ roll legend. Rolling Stone Magazine calls her “one of the greatest singers of all time.”
Joining her is Natasha Bedingfield, whose feel-good anthem “Unwritten” has been the soundtrack to countless memorable moments. With hits like “Pocketful of Sunshine” and collaborations with music icons, Bedingfield’s energetic performance will have the audience singing along.

Clark Art Institute presents free outdoor screening of Amélie (2001)
Williamstown— On Wednesday, August 28th at 7:45 p.m., the Clark Art Institute presents a free outdoor screening of Amélie (2001), the last in a summer series of films that resonate with the themes of the exhibition Guillaume Lethière.
Amélie (Audrey Tatou), the heroine of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s award-winning whimsical Paris romance, engineers offbeat solutions to better the lives of her deserving co-workers, relatives, and neighbors, including the concierge who spends her day sipping port while communing with a stuffed dog; the hypochondriac newsdealer; and the “glass man” who lives vicariously through a Renoir reproduction. Amélie’s mission to help others is rudely interrupted when she meets a strange young man who sets her on a mission to accomplish something for herself.

Dottie’s 17 year anniversary party with Rusted Chains
Pittsfield— On Friday, August 23rd from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., celebrate 17 years of Dottie’s in Pittsfield with a 90’s themed party with Rusted Chains.
Rusted Chains is Berkshire County’s premier tribute to the music of the 90s. Serving up a diverse mix of grunge, alternative, and pop-rock, Rusted Chains delivers renditions of songs from the era with the energy and individuality that defined a whole decade. Berkshire Bounty and Berkshire United Way distribute grocery bags to bridge gap between summer lunch and school lunch programs
Pittsfield— Berkshire Bounty and Berkshire United Way are teaming up to distribute grocery bags to help bridge the gap between Pittsfield Public Schools’ summer lunch programs ending and the school year beginning.
The size of Berkshire County’s food-insecure population continues to grow. According to Feeding America’s Map the Meal Gap, the food insecurity rates for children in Berkshire County grew by 5% between 2021 and 2022, from 11% to 16%. In response, volunteers will pack up to 250 grocery bags and distribute them to five sites throughout Pittsfield.

Pickleball Tournament to benefit Berkshire Bounty
Great Barrington— On Saturday, September 21st at 8 a.m., Berkshire Bounty, a local not-for-profit organization that provides food to those in need, is hosting a benefit Pickleball Tournament.
The tournament will be open to advanced beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. Players will be required to sign up with a partner and teams will self-rank when registering.
The tournament is on Saturday, September 21st at 8 a.m. at Simon’s Rock Athletic Center at 84 Alford Road in Great Barrington. Registration closes on September 1st. There will be a tax deductible registration fee of $100 per team, with proceeds going to support the work of Berkshire Bounty’s emergency food distribution programs countywide. Dalton Rotary Club’s Joe Haddad Memorial Golf Tournament at Wahconah Country Club
Dalton— On Monday, September 16th at 11:30 a.m., the Dalton Rotary hosts the Joe Haddad Memorial Golf Tournament, renamed this year to honor Haddad, a longtime Rotarian with a lifelong commitment to community.
The captain and crew tourney begins at 11:30 a.m. with registration and lunch, followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The $150 per person entry fee includes green fees, cart rental, lunch, refreshments on the course, dinner, prizes, gifts and a hole-in-one opportunity to win a car. All proceeds will benefit the Dalton Rotary Club, which supports the community through a variety of service projects and thousands of dollars in charitable gifts, scholarships, and international outreach.

Berkshire Community College new student orientation
Pittsfield— On Thursday, August 29th from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Berkshire Community College (BCC) will hold a new student orientation.
Check-in begins at 9 a.m., followed by a breakfast and welcome remarks. A Resource Fair welcomes students with all the information they need to start the fall semester smoothly. Breakout sessions allow students to engage with the Director of Recreational Services, Student Affairs representatives, BCC technology staff, academic deans and faculty, and fellow BCC students. Lunch will be served, followed by a campus tour with BCC Orientation Leaders. The day concludes with closing remarks and a raffle drawing.
