On Nov. 21, 2017, to Lorena Ojeda of Lee, a daughter, Valeria.

On Nov. 25, 2017 to Marianne Wikeson and Jeffrey Merritt of Southfield, a daughter, Cathleen.

On Nov. 26, 2017, to Molly and Mark Gillon of Lenox, a daughter, Lucy.

‘Faith and caring:” MLK’s life and legacy honored in Great Barrington celebration

Monday, Jan 15 - The celebration for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was also the kick-off for a series of townwide events commemorating the 150th birthday of civil rights pioneer and author W.E.B Du Bois who was born in Great Barrington. Included in the article is a video of Martin Luther King's 'I Have a Dream' speech in 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial.

Hazel Brewer, 98, formerly of North Egremont

Friday, Jan 12 - For many years Hazel was a sales clerk at the former W.T. Grant store in Great Barrington. She then worked at B-D Medical Products in Canaan as a production worker.
