Berkshire South Regional Community Center’s Norris Aquatics Center closed due to smoke from Butternut Fire

The Community Center hopes to reopen the pool on Thursday, Nov. 21.

Great Barrington —The Berkshire South Regional Community Center announced on Wednesday, November 20, that the facility’s Norris Aquatics Center is closed for the rest of the day due to the smoke from the Butternut Fire. According to the Community Center, the decision to close its aquatics department was made “out of an abundance of caution for the health of our swimmers, visitors and staff” since its air quality has been impacted by the wildfire.

The Community Center hopes to reopen the pool tomorrow.
