BB gun assault reported at Great Barrington Marketplace parking lot

Two victims were reportedly shot multiple times by a BB gun fired from a car by teenage boys described to be between the ages of 16 and 19 years old.

Great Barrington — An assault was reported in the parking place of Marketplace Kitchen Table at 240 Stockbridge Road on Wednesday, May 1, at around 1:45 p.m.

Police Chief Paul Storti confirmed with The Berkshire Edge that the department is aware of the incident.

According to a Facebook post on the Great Barrington Community Board, two residents were victims of the assault in the Marketplace parking lot. The two victims were reportedly shot multiple times by a BB gun fired from a car by teenage boys described to be between the ages of 16 to 19 years old. The car involved in the incident was described as a silver SUV with Massachusetts license plates ending in 71.

Storti would not comment further on the incident except to state that the incident is under investigation and that if anyone had any further information to contact the Police Department at (413) 528-0306, ext. 3.
