Barbara Louise Muller of Great Barrington passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born in Hillsdale, N.Y. on November 23, 1944 to Richard and Gertrude Wheeler Dellea. A 1963 graduate of Roe-Jan High School, Barbara moved to Great Barrington after graduation. She worked for Andrew’s Insurance Co. and the Berkshire Hills Regional School District. After retirement, Barbara enjoyed her winters in Ft. Lauderdale, along with her husband William Muller.
Barbara is survived by her son Kevin Fitzpatrick of Monterey, her daughter Amy Boardman and Amy’s husband Eric of Monterey, her granddaughters Katrina Fitzpatrick, Elizabeth and Madison McMeekin, and her step-grandsons Ethan and Garrett Boardman.
Barbara is predeceased by her husband William Muller, sons Mark and Daren Fitzpatrick, sister Shirley Wells, brother Richard Dellea, and her parents.
Barbara also leaves behind her sisters Carolyn Arienti and Martha Wool, both of Great Barrington, her brother Paul Dellea of Hillsdale N.Y., and many nieces and nephews.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Barbara Louise Muller will be held on Thursday. Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington, with Reverend William P. Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at 10:45 a.m. in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 4 from 8:30 –9:30 a.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home at 33 South Street, Great Barrington MA 01230. Masks and social distancing protocols must be followed for the church service, cemetery service, and calling hour. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Saint Peter’s building fund in care of the funeral home.
