Barbara Ann Lamanno, 76, of Sheffield, lover of fashion

Regardless of the event she was always glamorous. She topped off every outfit with a fancy hat.

Sheffield — Mrs. Barbara Ann Lamanno, 76, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away early Saturday morning, August 5, 2017 at her home.

Born in Noroton, Connecticut on June 4, 1941 she was the daughter of Frank and Jeannette Lineburgh Selas. She was a graduate of Darien High where she was a member of the a capella glee club, the choir, was a cheerleader as well as a baton twirler.

Barbara loved all things fashion. Regardless of the event she was always glamorous. She topped off every outfit with a fancy hat. She loved celebrating the holidays; holidays incorporated two of her favorite things decorating but more importantly spending time with family and friends. One of the activities she enjoyed doing was coloring with her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of James A. Modolo VFW Post #8348 in Great Barrington.

She is survived by her children, Lisa Hubbard and husband John, Mark Bunn and wife Sonia, Margherita Lamanno and husband Harry Lennex and her stepdaughters, Mary Lou Moseley and Elizabeth Lamanno. She also leaves her grandchildren, Lindsey O’Grady, Justin Hubbard, Amanda Torres, Amber Bunn, Samantha Bunn, Stella Lennex and Celia Lennex and her great grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler and Jayce O’Grady, Meya, Adrianna and Michelle Torres, along with her ever-faithful cat Felix.

She was predeceased by her son Steven Bunn in 1987 and her husband James Lamanno in 2007.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 8 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME in Great Barrington.

The family invites everyone to join them for a graveside service on Wednesday, August 9 at 10 a.m. Sheffield Center Cemetery, Berkshire School Road, Sheffield, Mass.

A small, intimate gathering for close family and friends will be held at Birches-Roy Funeral Home on Monday March 9, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A private burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home on Monday, March 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Great Barrington. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Dr. Stephen Kaufman, 81, of Eliot, Maine

The funeral will take place at Dewey Hall in Sheffield on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 11 a.m., followed immediately by internment at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery in Great Barrington. A livestream of the funeral service will be available.
