William Caligari is a Berkshire native and Sheffield resident who studied interior design at the New York School of Design, worked in the city's design world for eight years and returned to the Berkshires to set up his own design business -- one in a line of businesses owned by the Caligari family since the late 1800s.
Along with William Caligari Interior Design, Bill owns Linen, an importer and retailer of linens manufactured from Belgian flax.
Bill's work over nearly three decades includes commercial and residential work for customers in the Berkshire region, New England, New York, across the U.S. and abroad. With his particular expertise in spa and resort design, he was the interior designer of record for the Canyon Ranch spas in Lenox and Tuscon, and for other destination resorts. Recently, he completed the design for Berkshire Roots, Pittsfield's first medical marijuana dispensary. His spirited portfolio of residential work includes year-round and vacation homes grand and modest, urban and rural.
When he's not transforming the surroundings of clients' homes and workspaces, Bill is a nationally-ranked cycling competitor with more than 20 races completed so far in 2018. His cycling team is aptly named Linen.
