She has worked in university communications/marketing in Washington state and Hawai’i, and was an editor and writer for daily newspapers and a regional cultural arts magazine in Louisiana. She is an award-winning poet, and health and medical writer. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the Inland Northwest Writers’ Center at Eastern Washington University in Spokane.
