Two of The Triplex's theaters have been open for two weeks now and on December 15th we will open the third of our four theaters. We're off to a great start!
All week long there has been a constant flurry of activity with walls being painted, new carpet being cut, pictures being hung, and concession cases being stocked as we prepared for our opening this weekend.
Although we are not making a fanfare about opening the Triplex Cinema’s doors, but are instead focusing our attention more on getting everything up and running smoothly the first few weeks, we are grateful that there are others in our community who will be celebrating our opening with events that will honor and help the Triplex.
I would like to give a shout out to volunteer Dorene Beller of Monterey for her amazing work in putting together and sending out 32 Local Cultural Council grants that were due this week.
This week, it gives me great pleasure to shine a light on someone who most likely knows the Triplex better than anyone else, a friend and a one-time co-worker: John Valente.
The night was a true love-fest between the actors on stage and the sold-out audience. Under Director Extraordinaire Michelle Joyner's hands, the scenes came alive.
No matter how many articles are written in the press, people still are uncertain about what’s happening with the theater. So, as president of the board of the Triplex Cinema Inc, I decided to write a regular column updating the community on our progress and The Berkshire Edge has agreed to publish it.
