Kathleen Williams is a transplant from California where she was a stringer for the L.A. Times. She eventually wrote a (satirical) fashion column for the Times' Ventura County section while maintaining an avocado orchard and managing a small apicultural business. Currently, she lives near Alford, Mass., in an area known to locals as Green River.
