Wednesday, 7 Oct 2015 - After becoming a registered nurse Evelyn did private duty nursing for five years, then served as a Supervisor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Fairview Hospital for 36 years, retiring in 1980.

Richard M. Boardman, 82, former Sheffield selectman

Tuesday, 22 Sep 2015 - Richard was dedicated to the town he lived in and worked tirelessly for them for over 40 years. He was the own of Sheffield’s Animal Inspector, the Dog Officer; he served on the Board of Health and was a former Selectman.

Steve Meyerowitz (1950 – 2015): ‘A life cut short but one well lived’

Friday, 11 Sep 2015 - Meyerowitz had a profound impact on friends and family in the way he supported and was invested in others’ success. He met life with a smile and warmth and laughter, was present and selfless, and made everyone happy. The funeral will be held on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, 270 State Road, Great Barrington, Mass. Burial will follow at Ahavath Sholom Cemetery in Great Barrington.

Elinor Mary Reilly, 76, of Housatonic

Thursday, 10 Sep 2015 - Fondly remembered as, “The Tupperware Lady,” Elinor also worked at several area schools, and most recently as a dispatcher and office manager for S.B.E.T.C.

Marcel P. Boibeaux, 77, of Sheffield

Wednesday, 2 Sep 2015 - Marcel and his wife, Joan, owned the Sheffield Pub. Marcel was a 5-star cook, and an expert in solving the New York Times crossword puzzle. He was the kind of person who would give you help when you are in need, be it money, advice or the shirt off his back.

Wednesday, 2 Sep 2015 - Mr. Terry was a longtime resident of Sheffield, was an engine builder and an avid drag racing fan and pit crew chief for the “Rock & Roll Dragster” team.
