Arthur Giron
Arthur Giron is one of the top contemporary American playwrights.
He headed the graduate playwriting at Carnegie Mellon University, and is a founder of Ensemble Studio Theatre
in New York, where he lives with his wife Mariluz.
His 20 plays are performed in the U.S. and abroad. Among them, his Galileo Prize-winner Emilie’s Voltaire played recently in Portugal, Australia, and the U.S. He co-wrote the epic Broadway musical Amazing Grace. Alfred Molina starred in L.A. Theatre Works’ Moving Bodies, about Richard Feynman. Of his Dream of Wealth, about the United Fruit Company, the NY Times said: “it was filled with passion and ample compassion”.
