Egremont — Musician Rob Sanzone, who plays with the band Picky Bastards, is urging people who attended the band’s Friday, Dec. 30 show at Egremont Barn to get tested for COVID.

On Sanzone’s Facebook page, he writes that he tested positive on January 1.

“I had tested negative the day of the show and had no symptoms throughout the night and the following day,” Sanzone wrote. “This evening I have very minor symptoms and I didn’t know any better. I would have thought I was just a little dehydrated or tired. I’m really sorry guys. Please stay safe, get tested, and wear a mask in public. I am very sorry.”

Sanzone’s Facebook post was cross-posted on the Egremont Barn’s Facebook page.

Update: Jenny Rubin, an owner of The Egremont Barn, wrote the following to The Berkshire Edge on the website’s comment section:

“I will add this was on 12/30 and not new years. Rob indeed was in a mask. So far, no staff has tested positive. Have not heard about any other positive cases.”
