Nothing shapes the emotional landscape of a movie like music—and few people have shaped the sound of 21st-century cinema more than Randall Poster.

For nearly 30 years, Poster has been the go-to music supervisor for some of the most iconic directors of our time like Martin Scorsese, Wes Anderson, Sofia Coppola, Richard Linklater, Todd Haynes, and more. He is the person who paired “These Days” with Margot Tenenbaum’s return home, brought the swagger to “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and helped define the world of “School of Rock”—all by finding the perfect songs to match a filmmaker’s vision.

This weekend, Poster joins us in person for “Soundtracks by Randall Poster,” a special three-day event celebrating the art of the soundtrack. He will introduce a selection of the films he has helped shape, including “The Grand Budapest Hotel,” “School of Rock,” and “The Wolf of Wall Street,” and share the movies that have inspired his work—including “Somewhere,” “American Graffiti,” and “Mean Streets.”
Join us for this rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the best in the business about what it takes to build a great soundtrack—and how the right song in the right moment can change the way you see a scene forever.

“A Nice Indian Boy”
A queer rom-com with Karan Soni and Jonathan Groff.
When Naveen Gavaskar (Karan Soni, “Deadpool”) falls in love with Jay Kurundkar (Jonathan Groff, “Hamilton”), a white man raised by his adopted Indian parents, it sets the couple on a collision course with Naveen’s family, who have always been supportive of Naveen’s sexuality without facing it head on. Hard truths are surfaced through a series of comic misunderstandings, frank fights, and emotional revelations as the Gavaskars grapple with the idea of Naveen being with “A Nice Indian Boy.”
Centered around the sweet chemistry of Soni and Groff, “A Nice Indian Boy” navigates a world of cultural mores and misunderstandings to tell a story that is relatable to anyone who has ever been in love.
