Anne Claire Igoe-Dinan, 64, of Monterey

Anne loved spending time with her family, which included cherished trips to Nantucket with her husband and family beach trips to Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Anne’s greatest joy was making memories with her grandchildren, baking and tending to their tomato plants to name a few.

Anne Claire Igoe-Dinan, 64 of Monterey died Monday July 11, 2022 at Lee Healthcare in Lee. Anne, known to many as “Annie” was born at Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington on December 18, 1957; daughter to Patricia (Dehler) Igoe and the late John “Jack” Igoe. She was a graduate of Monument Mountain Regional High School (Class of 1975) and went on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science from UMass Amherst.

Anne worked in food service with the Southern Berkshire Regional School District. She was a ski instructor at Ski Butternut and later a Snow Sports Supervisor of the Ski School Program. Anne spent her summers as a member of Wyantenuck Country Club where she enjoyed playing tennis. She was a fitness instructor at Canyon Ranch, Fitness Express, and later at Berkshire South. Anne ran her own catering business and cooked meals for the Community Suppers at Berkshire South. She was a communicant of St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington. Anne loved spending time with her family, which included cherished trips to Nantucket with her husband and family beach trips to Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Anne’s greatest joy was making memories with her grandchildren, baking and tending to their tomato plants to name a few.

Anne is survived by her mother Patricia (Pat) Igoe; her husband of thirty two years, John R. Dinan Jr. of Monterey; two sons, Christopher Dinan of Great Barrington and Keller Dinan of Boston; one daughter, Laura Anne Dinan of Centreville, Va., one step-son, Jeff Pilot of New Providence, N.J.; two brothers, Andrew Igoe of Great Barrington and John Michael Igoe of Great Barrington; three sisters, Mary Pat Walton and husband Stanley of Clinton, Ct., Jacqueline Igoe of Arlington, Va. and Rosemary Igoe of Weymouth, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Iris, Thea, Harper and Olivia. Anne was predeceased by her father, John “Jack” Igoe.

Funeral services for Anne Claire Igoe-Dinan will be held on Thursday, July 21 at 10 a.m. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Church in Great Barrington with Reverend William P. Murphy Pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. Family will receive friends on Wednesday July 20 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Birches-Roy Funeral Home 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230. Condolences may be made through the funeral home’s website.
