Ann T. Gurney, 68, of Great Barrington

She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of the former Searles High School class of 1964. Ann worked for many years as an Office Manager at Custom Extrusions.

Ann T. Gurney, 68, of Great Barrington died Friday July 17, 2015 at home. Ann was born in Great Barrington on January 10, 1947, daughter of John Sr. and Barbara (Neilson) Broderick. She was educated in local schools and was a graduate of the former Searles High School class of 1964. Ann worked for many years as an Office Manager at Custom Extrusions.

Ann is survived by her husband Kenneth R. Gurney of Great Barrington, three sons, William Hotaling of Baltimore, Md., Wayne Hotaling of Minneapolis, Minn., and Michael Gurney of Phoenix, Ariz., one daughter, Jenifer Hotaling of Pittsfield, two brothers, John Broderick Jr. of Great Barrington and Patrick Broderick of Great Barrington, one sister, Mary Kvocka of Lee, seven grandchildren, Kaytlynn, Caleb, Owen, Riley, Delaney, Anna and Ryan and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Ann T. Gurney will be held Thursday July 23 at 11 a.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington Mass. 01230 with the Reverend William P. Murphy pastor, officiating. Family will receive friends Thursday July 23 preceding the Service from 9 a.m .to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Ann’s memory may be made to Berkshire Humane Society or S.B.V.A.S. in care of the funeral home. Thomas F. ‘Walt’ Palivoda, 72, of Housatonic

Walt’s family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a funeral service officiated by Deacon Ed Shaw at Birches-Roy Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Wyantenuck Country Club. Private burial will be at a later date.

As requested, a private burial service for close family will be held at Ashley Falls Cemetery at a later date.
