Anita was active in the family business throughout the years, driving buses, doing clerical work with her husband, John, and a hostess for the bed and breakfast where she had a natural warm and welcoming presence. She was a woman of true love and grace putting meticulous care in whatever she did. One of her pleasures was cooking for family and friends and no one walked away hungry.

Anita’s husband, John Brewster Cleveland Ormsbee, whom she married on October 5, 1957, predeceased her on August 25, 2012.

Anita is survived by three sons, two from a previous marriage: Robert K. Miller and his wife Jennifer of New Marlborough, Daniel J. Miller and his wife Annalisa of Fairfield, Iowa, and John E. Ormsbee of New Marlborough; one daughter, Anita E. Cook and her husband George of New Marlborough; and ten grandchildren, Beth and husband Jordan, Katie, Jordon, Leanna, Lulu, Chaiden, Andrew and fiancée Beth, Eli, John Robert and Kara.

In addition to her husband, John B. Ormsbee, Anita is predeceased by her sister Agnes and her three children.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Melbourne Place and a caregiver, Helen Johnston.
