To the editor:
Leonard Quart’s opinion piece and his “time of low-grade despair,” along with my conversations with friends and neighbors, has prompted this response with a very different perspective. Yes, many of us have kept from engaging in activities we enjoy and in which we take satisfaction. There is much suffering, exhaustion, death, and grief from the pandemic.
It is a time of immense change. There is an energetic vibrational shift — a planetary shift — that is affecting everyone. But it is not the end of the world. It is positive! It is positive! It is positive! There is more Light now and that releases what has been held in darkness that must be seen and acknowledged to be lifted to the Light. The release may seem tumultuous, and the global pandemic is helping expose the dysfunction of structures and institutions.
This is a time of personal and collective reckoning. A time to look at our human inheritance. Along with bringing forth many glorious virtues of love, and vast, extraordinary achievements in knowledge and learning, discoveries and inventions, great, great art and artistry, the denial of the Divine and the fear and separation it has produced can no longer be ignored. We are being confronted with the long legacy of intolerance, misogyny, racism, slavery, genocides, greed, corruption and scarcity, wars and famines and preparations for next wars, the monetization of life, poisoning of the earth… and the many structures and systems created to control us and “protect” us from fear.
The world’s news is fear and more fear. We need to look beyond politics, and realize that we are not facing a political problem with a political — or an economic or technological — solution in this country or any other. To “Build Back Better” is to try to fix rotten, collapsing structures that would replicate what has brought us to the brink of destroying ourselves. To correct or improve what we know and have known leads us back, inevitably, to our understanding formed from a collective history of fear and separation based on forgetting, or willfully denying the Divine. And we are in stasis.
We have been in accord with the denial of God — Source, Energy, what is beyond Name — and the denial of our divinity, and the divinity of our bodies, the body of the earth, and everything in manifestation. We have believed in or accepted our limitation, “sinfulness,” and deep unworthiness. We have been in denial of the very truth of who we are as aspects of God in consciousness in tone/frequency, and in form.
People are claiming their right to be now and waking up to their inherent worth as human beings. There is greater opportunity in this time than we have ever had, and there is choice, always, in every moment. The construct of reality of this world is an out-picturing of our collective consciousness. Fear and the self-righteous judgment of one another — and heaping it on politicians — denies our inherent divinity and brings more darkness and density. It lowers the vibrational field. We are One Forever, never separate from our Source. For change, all must be lifted up in love in light for reconciliation and reclamation. We are here to experience and witness the Divine for the Divine and to embody in Love as our Divine Self. A Creation of Love is to be loved.
To rising above fear, separation, and history in love, light, higher consciousness, frequency/tone with the knowing of our worth and Divine Unity for the wondrous, the unknown and the new to be born!
God is. God is. God is.
