Alice M. Davis, 90, of Monterey

She graduated from the former New Marlborough High School Class of 1950. Alice attended college in Alabama majoring in Home Economics.

Alice M. Davis, 90, of Monterey, died Thursday April 28, 2022 at her home. She was born in Canaan, Conn., on January 3, 1932 the daughter of Eben and Olive (Burbank) Thompson. She was the widow of Leslie Davis. Alice grew up in Hartsville and attended New Marlborough Central School. She graduated from the former New Marlborough High School Class of 1950. Alice attended college in Alabama majoring in Home Economics.

After returning to the Berkshires, she was employed for many years in stores in Great Barrington and retired from Kmart. For more than 60 years, Alice was an active member of the Grange. She enjoyed attending church services and community dinners, reading and bird watching. Most of all, she enjoyed helping other people. Alice was predeceased by her husband, parents and step father (Floyd McKay).

At Alice’s request private funeral services were held. She was buried in Corashire Cemetery in Monterey. BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME entrusted with arrangements.
