Alice Asklipious, 101, passed on June 4, 2018 at the home of her son George in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born Sept. 20, 1916, in New York City, she was the daughter of George and Caliope Fassois. She was educated in New York schools. Alice later met her husband, Otto, and they married in 1933. They enjoyed 45 years together until he passed in 1979. She and Otto owned and operated the Cove Restaurant in Great Barrington from 1950 until 1978. Alice moved to Las Vegas to be with her son George several years ago.

Along with her son George, Alice is survived by her four granddaughters, one grandson, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Otto; her son John; and her grandson John, Jr.

Services for the late Alice Asklipious will be held Friday, June 15, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, conducted by Father John Maheras. Burial will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Great Barrington. Memorial donations may be made to St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church through FINNERTY & STEVENS FUNERAL HOME, 426 Main St., Great Barrington, MA 01230, which is in charge of arrangements.
