Adolf S. Knott, 91, of West Stockbridge

Adolf was born in Gauting, Germany, on January 8, 1924, son to Johann and Rosa (Stadler) Knott. He received his Associates Degree from Newark College of Engineering. Adolf worked for many years as an engineer.

Adolf S. Knott, 91 of West Stockbridge, Mass., died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Fairview Commons Nursing and Rehab in Great Barrington. Adolf was born in Gauting, Germany, on January 8, 1924, son to Johann and Rosa (Stadler) Knott. He received his Associates Degree from Newark College of Engineering. Adolf worked for many years as an engineer. Adolf enjoyed woodworking, nature and being in the Berkshires. Adolf is survived by his wife, Elizabeth C. (Scheuernstuhl) Knott and one son, Steven Knott and his wife Lynn of Orlando, Fla.

In keeping with Adolf’s wishes there are no services. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy in Adolf’s memory may be made to the St. Patrick’s Church Renovation Fund in care of the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South St., Great Barrington MA 01230. The funeral service for Mary Lou Barnum will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 1 p.m., at Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home in Great Barrington. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Ted (Edward) Frederick, 51, of Pittsfield

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m., at the Church on the Hill in Lenox, with Rev. Liz Goodman officiating. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Roche Funeral Home.
